Duvall Decker Featured in The Architect’s Newspaper May 2023 Issue

In the latest issue of The Architect’s Newspaper, Duvall Decker is featured in this month’s Studio Visit.

“What we’ve learned in the South is to dedicate ourselves in the history, culture, and character of a place, no matter where it is. And not pay attention to clichés. Our first commitment is to research and listen for everything from the soil to the political-social-economic structures of a place and its history.”

The feature highlights Duvall Decker Principals, Anne Marie Duvall Decker and Roy Decker, as they discuss the history and inspiration that drives the studio here in Jackson, Mississippi. The story also takes a deep dive into four of our projects: Cooperwood Senior Living, Springdale Municipal Campus, U.S. Courthouse, and the Arlington Center for Community Engagement.
